Clinical Externship
Students are placed in a 40-hour per week clinical externship for a final applied clinical experience with chair-side assisting in 4-handed dentistry, radiographic technique, and assisting during specialty procedures.

It is a fun-filled day where you'll experience a day in the life of a dental assistant. Questions about career opportunities, dental assistant salaries, typical work schedules and benefits such as free dental care that come along with being a well-paid dental professional will be discussed.

Age Requirement:
Must be 17 years of age or older.
Educational Requirement:
Students must have successfully completed high school or have completed a high school equivalency course and provide one of the following at the time of enrollment:
- Copy of High School Diploma
- Copy of General Educational Development (GED)
- Copy of High School Equivalency Test (HiSET)
- Copy of current shot record
This course is offered in English and due to the accelerated pace of this course, students must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Previous Education:
No credit will be given for previous education or transferred to another institution from Dental Assisting Academy of Excellence.
Criminal History:
Criminal history may affect a student’s hire-ability in the dental field as every employer has different requirements. Accelerated Academy has the right to refuse enrollment due to criminal history. Also, in Texas, to apply to be a Registered Dental Assistant, fingerprints will be required.
An appointment must be scheduled with an Admissions Representative to tour the facility and fill out the registration paperwork.
Students must have an entrance interview with an Admissions Representative prior to enrollment or within 14 days of enrollment. If they don’t meet the entrance requirements, Dental Assisting Academy of Excellence has the right to terminate them and issue the appropriate refund.

Option 2 - Payment Plans
Weekly Plan: Weekly payments in the amount of $294.23, for a duration of 13 weeks, less $50.00 Registration Fee and $400 deposit
Monthly Plan: Monthly payments in the amount of $1,275 for duration of three months
less $50.00 Registration Fee and $400 deposit. This payment plan requires auto-pay.
A $400 deposit is required at the time of enrollment. This $400 will reserve your seat in the course and will be deducted from the total tuition cost.

After successful completion of the course, you will meet all the requirements to obtain your RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license.
