Hands-on Experience Assisting a Real Dentist
In just 10 weeks, our program teaches you the skills, technology and dental theory needed to succeed in the dental profession.
Every one of our students will assist a licensed dentist one-on-one in various dental procedures.
Clinical Externship
Students are placed in a 40-hour per week clinical externship for a final applied clinical experience with chair-side assisting in 4-handed dentistry, radiographic technique, and assisting during specialty procedures.

Meet our Head Director
Dr. Amy Martinez, DDS
Dr. Martinez proudly began her education at the Alamo Colleges of San Antonio as a nontraditional student, earning three associate degrees while raising three children under the age of 5. She then moved on to Texas A&M at San Antonio where she graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Biology. Dr. Martinez then obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio in 2021 with a distinction in research.
During her academic career, Dr. Martinez earned more than 20 academic and merit-based scholarships, presented at several research symposiums, hosted empowerment conferences, as well as had the honor of being guest speaker at several events, both on and off campus. Dr. Martinez enjoys giving back to the community and encouraging others at every opportunity. She currently practices general dentistry and serves a wide range of patients in San Antonio, Texas.
Brenda Garza, RDA
Co-Director, Lead Instructor
Brenda is a dedicated dental professional with over 12 years of experience. Since starting her career as a dental assistant in 2012, she has gained valuable expertise across various aspects of dentistry, including pediatric care. Brenda is CPR certified and holds certifications in corona polishing and sealants, allowing her to provide comprehensive training that prepares students for success.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Brenda is deeply rooted in her community and passionate about helping others pursue rewarding careers in the dental industry. As a mother of three children, ages 6, 10, and 13, she understands the importance of family and values creating a supportive and nurturing environment for her students. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring her hometown, and giving back to the community.
Brenda’s hands-on teaching approach emphasizes patient care, skill development, and building confidence, ensuring that every student is well-prepared for a successful career in dental assisting.
Benjamin Martinez
Co-Owner
Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Benjamin Martinez is a proud Texan and loves the thriving community where he continues to raise his own family. He is the youngest & first of his 10 siblings to graduate from a university. In 2008, he started his own family when he married his lovely wife, Dr. Amy Martinez. They have raised their three beautiful young children while pursuing careers in engineering and medicine.
Mr. Martinez began his education at the University of Oklahoma (OU) as an Aerospace Engineering student (1998-2000). In 2000, Mr. Martinez transferred home to complete his Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2003.
After graduation, Mr. Martinez began his engineering journey and acquired great experience as a sales engineer, manufacturing engineer, drafting engineer, and for the last 15+ years has worked for the Department of Defense as an energy program engineer.
He is a devout Christian and his passion in life is being husband and father.
